Recommended – WEIGH CHASSIS
Due to the heavy weight of Pearson Squeeze Crushes, Pearson manufacture a heavy-duty scale base and chute mounts, to protect a weigh system. These are available together with heavy-duty load bars and a choice of weigh monitors. The scale base lifts the load bars clear of the ground, keeping them dry and out of the dung and urine. It also deflects muck, urine, hair and horn away from the underside of the crush, making it far easier to keep clean. It is simple to bolt down the weigh crush or lay it temporarily on hard core, giving accurate weights every time.

Budget – WEIGH PADS
The most cost-effective set-up is to take two Weigh Pads which fit across the width of the Squeeze Crush, to which the load bars are bolted.
ALTERNATIVE – Weigh Alley
This comprises an 8’7” Adjustable Alley (which adjusts from 30” into 16”) with a weigh tray and your choice of weigh monitor. Weighing the cattle in a fully-sheeted Alley, prior to entering the Squeeze Crush, is an excellent method as the cattle are calmer, having not reached the front of the handling system (Squeeze Crush), where they feel alone.
Anti drop-down Bar
Stops cattle of all sizes kneeling. Easily removable.
The Anti Drop-Down Bar stops cattle of all sizes from kneeling, such as heifers during P.D. / A.I. work, or calves during de-horning. It is easy to remove and put back in if desired. By squeezing in the sides of the crush, smaller beasts will always be central as they enter, guiding them to straddle the bar every time.

Vet Gates
Sheeted well above a waiting cow’s head, to keep cattle calm. Sturdy. No tin or pop-riveting here.
The Vet Gates are sheeted and close back against the front of the Alley, completely obscuring the beast waiting behind. This keeps the cattle calm, as well as giving the vet / technician peace of mind. The position of the aluminium tail gate can easily be changed as desired, either behind the Vet Gates or the Squeeze Crush itself.

Hoof Trimming Kit
Deal with lame cows immediately.
The squeeze mechanism holds the beast upright and securely in the crush, giving the operator a more stable hoof on which to work. With the hoof block fitting to the squeezing side, no matter what size the beast is, the hoof block is always in the right place. A rear hoof kit is also available.

Sloped Bottom Crash Gate
Stops escapees. Essential for horned cattle.
This eliminates the possibility for an animal to pass through the Manual Head Gate without being caught. It is essential for fully horned beasts such as Highland or Longhorn cattle. The controls can be changed to enable the gate swing off the left or the right-hand side.

Horizontal Sliding Gate
Alternative to Vertical-Lifting Aluminium Tailgate
The Vertical-Lifting Aluminium Tailgate comes as standard with all non-hydraulic Pearson squeeze crushes. Horizontal Sliding Gates are available in addition to, or instead of the Vertical-Lifting Aluminium Tailgate.

Trimming / Highland / Longhorn Sides
Horizontal side bars instead of vertical bars
On all Squeeze Crushes, the top half of the crush sides contain vertical bars, which are removable. On the Trimming / Highland / Longhorn version, however, these bars are horizontal, to enable easy passage of large horns through the Squeeze Crush. This is also handy for trimming backs out on all cattle with a pair of electric clippers.

Rubber Louvres on Sides
Increase the speed of the flow of cattle.
If you want to be able to handle your cattle even faster, the addition of Rubber Louvres on both sides of the Squeeze Crush will draw them straight ahead as they are unable to see the operator standing at the side of the Squeeze Crush. Meanwhile, the operator is able to see through the Louvres as the beast enters the Squeeze Crush.
